Congratulations, Advocates!

Yesterday's passage of S.B. 251 by the Senate is an important first step towards unlocking learning opportunities for thousands of Indiana kids.

The legislation, authored by Sens. Dennis Kruse, R-14, and Ronald Grooms, R-46Senate Bill 251 will establish an out-of-school learning time grant program and create an advisory committee of experts and stakeholders to study best practices and make recommendations to the 2017 General Assembly.  
Stay tuned as the bill moves on to the Indiana House of Representatives sponsored by Reps. Robert Behning, R-91, Rhonda Rhoads, R-70, Vernon Smith, D-14 and Woody Burton, R-58.
