Tip: A Treasure Hunt

Want to inject some fun into your summer clearance sales?  Follow the lead of a New York retailer, who took a large antique wooden trunk, placed "Sale" signage on it, and used it to hold a selection of summer clearance items. Rather than load it with too much product that might appear "junky," she chose to fill in as items sold.
Pick: We Live For Saturdays

The concept of this T-shirt line is that, ever since we were children, Saturdays have held a special place in our hearts. We Live For Saturdays vintage cotton shirts capture that "Saturday" feeling, whether hiking at a state park, fishing at the lake or relaxing in your favorite hammock. It's a great men's gift, with multiple themes offered, including state pride. An Alabama retailer recently brought in the line and reports that it's "selling well" among her customers, with strong sales expected for Father's Day.

Editor Victoria Gomelsky of JCK shares her take on the emerging trends spotted at JCK Las Vegas, from baguette-shaped diamond cuts to butterfly pendants to open-style collar necklaces that cuff the neck and don't require a clasp. Up next: the return of fashionable pins and brooches.
