If you carry Charles Viancin silicone lids, check out this great video shared by one of our Texas subscribers (and created by her son). You could easily post this on Facebook or your website so customers can learn more about the popular line (#1 in Giftbeat's Functional Gifts chart).

Tip: Be Your Own Graphic Designer

Today's tip comes from Crystal Vilkaitis of Crystal Media, who made this design-challenged editor very happy when she introduced me to Canva, a graphic design program aimed at non-designers. It's so cool and easy! In fact, the Webbys called it "the easiest to use design program in the world." The platform combines a drag-and-drop tool with a library of more than 1 million stock photos (most cost $1 each), graphic elements and fonts. So the next time you want to update your Facebook header or create some new artwork for your website, click on Canva and make like the design pros!
Pick: Bright, Functional, Fun!

When I first saw the fun, colorful display from Drew Derose Designs, it stopped me in my tracks. The company specializes in color-coordinating ceramics that are both decorative and functional -- with price points that can't be beat (average cost range: $2.50-$12.50). Items are sold in color assortments, so the small retailer can purchase an entire look without a big investment. The spring palette focuses on yellow, red, turquoise and green. We love these cut-out bird lanterns (6.5 inches tall, $7 cost). Other ceramic categories include wine-themed items (cork holders are top sellers), decorative hooks, crosses, frames, vases and more.

Positive Thoughts
"Happiness is an attitude. We either make ourselves miserable, or happy and strong. The amount of work is the same."
