Register for Upcoming Webinar on Rural INTDAS

You may have used the Integrated National Transit Database Analysis System (INTDAS) for urban transit systems. Now you can conduct similar analyses with rural and tribal transit systems. This webinar will introduce you to the INTDAS and how to use the new rural transit module. Albert Gan, Ph.D. Professor of Engineering at Florida International University will be the presenter and tour guide to show you how easy it is to access and analyze Rural NTD data using this module. 

The Rural INTDAS was created by Florida International University in partnership with National RTAP. Register for the webinar, which is scheduled for Wednesday, June 24th from 2-3PM.
Federal Transit Administration and US DOT Updates

The FTA Office of Safety & Oversight has launched a new training and resource website. Take online courses, sign up for in-person courses, and find resources and templates for all aspects of transit safety.

The dates for this year's FTA State Programs Meeting have been announced. The meeting will take place in Washington, DC from August 12-14. Find out more information here

Regarding Drug and Alcohol testing, the Department of Health and Human Services proposes the establishment of guidelines for oral fluid specimens, and the revision of urine testing guidelines. Comment by July 14th, 2015.

$500 million announced for the next round of TIGER Discretionary Grants. The pre-application deadline was May 4th, and the final application deadline is June 5th.

The National Council on Disability has published Transportation Update: Where We've Gone and What We've Learned, focusing on accessibility progress and issues with transit.

NCHRP's Forecasting Transportation Revenue Sources: Survey of State Practices examines the ways in which DOTs can and do forecast transportation funding. This resource is useful for state program managers, and transit agencies who want to find out more about how the states handle funding.
