Photo Contest Extended for One More Week
National RTAP has extended the photo contest for one more week until Wednesday, July 23rd because we know summer is a busy marketing time for you. Get out there and take a couple of photos of marketing events, materials, public meetings, or any other ways that you are Reaching Your Riders: Getting the Word Out About Your Transit Services! Prizes include an Olympus Camera and a gift cheque. As always, there's the chance for your photo to appear in one of our publications, or on our website.

Rural Public and Intercity Bus Full Conference Schedule Available
The 21st National Conference on Rural Public and Intercity Bus Transportation, October 26-29th in Monterey, CA now has a full, detailed conference schedule available. With almost 40 sessions to choose from and 100 speakers in the areas of planning, policy, mobility, operations and technology, the conference is a great place to network with other transit providers and state DOT program managers and to learn about the latest in the rural and tribal transit industry.

The Small Urban and Rural Transit Center (SURTC) has published Cost-Benefit Analysis of Rural and Small Urban Transit. The study identifies the value of fixed-route and demand-response services and small urban and rural communities. Quantifying the value of these services allows agencies to better make a case for local, state and federal funding.
