National RTAP Soliciting Entries for Directory of Trainers

We are currently still accepting entries for our upcoming Directory of Trainers. The directory will live on our website and will be a resource for transit agencies and state program managers to easily find trainers in their regions. To submit your own or someone else's information, email info@nationalrtap.org with the following information:
  • Name, address, email, and additional contact information
  • Training subject areas
  • Region covered

Formula Grants for Rural Areas Guidance and Application Instructions: Proposed Circular and Request for Comments.
 
FTA Seeks Comment on the ANPRM on Safety and Transit Asset Management.
 
NPRM for Categorical Exclusions open for comment.
 
FTA issued NPRM to open a comment period and conduct a listening session on DBE Program Implementation Modifications. Listening Session announced for October 9, from noon-4PM ET. Written comments will be accepted until October 30, 2013.
Student Competition and Call for Presentations for 21st Rural Public and Intercity Bus Conference
 
The student paper competition, "Setting Our Course for the Future," has been announced for the upcoming Rural Public and Intercity Bus Conference in 2014. Two prizes, one for graduate students, and one for undergraduates, will be awarded at the conference in Monterey, CA. The deadline for submissions is March 7, 2014. 
 
The planning committee for the Rural Public and Intercity Bus Conference (RIBTC) is also accepting presentation proposals, which should fall within one of the five routes: planning, design and research; policy, funding and finance; rural transportation today; technology, and special issues. Special focus for this agenda is on mobility management, rural/community transportation, intercity transit, national parks, tribal transit, and veterans' transportation. The early submission deadline is October 15, 2013, and the final deadline is January 10, 2014.
