National RTAP invites you to attend our first 101 Webinar on Social Media. Susan Bregman, Principal, Oak Square Resources will give a one-hour overview of social media use in the rural and tribal transit field, including methods and best practices. The webinar will take place on September 25th at 3PM.
101 Series Webinars will be held every two months, and will focus on topics such as MAP-21 safety and asset management requirements, FTA charter regulations, drug and alcohol testing programs, and marketing transit services. Register now!

Call for Presentations for 21st Rural Public and Intercity Bus Conference
The planning committee for the Rural Public and Intercity Bus Conference (RIBTC) is currently accepting presentation proposals for the October 2014 event in Monterey, CA. Proposals should fall within one of the five routes: planning, design and research; policy, funding and finance; rural transportation today; technology, and special issues. Special focus for this agenda is on mobility management, rural/community transportation, intercity transit, national parks, tribal transit, and veterans' transportation.

National Dialogue on US DOT Strategic Plan, FY 2014-2018 (this is now closed, but you can read the comments).
FTA issued NPRM to open a comment period and conduct a listening session on DBE Program Implementation Modifications. Listening Session announced for October 9, from noon-4PM ET.
Written comments will be accepted until October 30, 2013. Submit comments (identified by the agency name and DOT Docket ID Number OST-2012-0147) by any of the following methods:

ESPA Accepting Applications for Accessible Transportation Technical Support Project
Easter Seals Project ACTION is soliciting applications for the Accessible Transportation Technical Support (ATTS) Project, which provides in-depth technical assistance to enhance accessible transportation. Past projects have included one-call centers, creating new transportation options with existing resources, and engaging the community in inclusive planning.
