National RTAP Announces Release of New Technical Brief: Driving Your Online Presence

We are pleased to announce the release of a new technical brief, Driving Your Online Presence: The Importance of Creating a Website for Your Transit Agency. The brief lists several compelling arguments for having a website, including greater exposure, marketing, and information sharing. It also lists steps to take in creating a website, free tools for doing so, and improvements that can be made to existing websites to make them more customer-friendly and useful.

"As of 2010, about 70% of rural families in America have computer access at home and as of 2012 (Statista, 2012), there are 91.4 million Smartphones in the U.S. alone (Alexander, 2012). Reaching out to that available customer base is important, especially when it involves connecting your customers to your agency's schedules, fares, routes and marketing campaigns" (from Driving Your Online Presence).
