The Federal Transit Administration has released the proposed first section of an eventual 12-chapter ADA circular, and is seeking comment. The guidance aims to ensure that transportation providers are acquiring buses and rail cars that meet the Americans with Disabilities Act regulations put forth by the U.S. Department of Transportation. The FTA is soliciting feedback for the first chapter, as well as suggestions for future issues to cover. Information about giving feedback can be found in the proposed circular, above.

ESPA's You Can Ride a Good Addition to Travel Training Programs 
 
Easter Seals Project ACTION has released You Can Ride, a pictorial guide to riding a bus. Designed for passengers who cannot read, or cannot read English well, the images follow a group of passengers planning and then taking a bus ride to a destination. Transit agencies that wish to use this guide as part of travel training programs can also insert their own images into slits in the booklet pages. DOT Unveils New Website 
 
Visit www.dot.gov for a more organized, attractive, and simplified portal into the Department of Transportation. Visitors can click a link directly to the public transit section, and find a list of popular pages, a link to the SaferBus app, FTA presences on Twitter and YouTube, and much more.
