Mike Rush Daytona Comeback
|
Making the trek across the United States, from California to Florida, can be a win for some teams on the AMA Pro Flat Track tour. Mike Rush turned pro in 2007 and captured his first win at Daytona that same year. His career was on a successful upward swing until a horrible crash at Springfield in 2012 fractured his pelvis.

Let the Cage Battle Begin

San Jose Indoor opens its doors this Friday and Saturday for arguably the most intense indoor motorcycle racing in the country. Pete and Diane Francini of P&D Promotions have packed a stellar schedule into the opening day race on April 6th. ASBN Celebrates Flat Track Night
|
 American Sport Bike Night (ASBN) gathered this week to celebrate Flat Track. Motorcycle riders, enthusiasts, historians, photographers and more came to pay homage to a sport we all have at least one story about in our lifetime. Memorable GNC riders such as Jim Foley, Joe Henry, Jim Odom, Jimmy Plain, Jim Rice and more listened on as Frank Gillespie relived his career. The famed #76 rider spoke about riding at Ascot, Lodi, San Jose, Castle Rock, Toledo, and countless other venues in a slide show that had questions and comments entertaining the room. It was incredible to see Paul Bostrom sign the Greg Pearson Volume II book featuring Jim Rice (On Any Sunday featured rider) on the cover. Our own Circle Bell Motorsports team joined representatives from Motion Pro, San Jose Indoors, Slideways! Presents, California Flat Track Association, A&A Racing, Zanotti Racing and more. Special thanks to Bill Keys for organizing the evening and Orchard Supply Hardware for the many donations.

Generations Battle at Calistoga Opener

The World of Outlaws will open Calistoga Speedway's 76th racing season on Saturday, April 6 and the race promises to be a battle of the generations as young stars from California will challenge drivers who have decades of experience on the nation's premier sprint car tour. They will take on some of Northern California's best drivers, including West Coast champions Jonathan Allard and Tim Kaeding, as the World of Outlaws make their only Calistoga appearance of the year. Clubman's British Bike Show April 6

April 6th will be a full day of motorcycles at the Santa Clara County Convention Center in San Jose. In one building, motorcycle enthusiasts will be milling about checking out the many British motorcycles on display. From street bikes to race bikes, from new to old, and everything in between, you will see a multitude of British motorcycle machinery. Gene Romero-The Start of a Series
|  The name Gene Romero was frequently heard throughout the United States racing community during the late 1960's and the early 1970's. Earning the respect of fellow racers and those interested in racing even after his motorcycle racing career ended in 1981. For over a decade, this Hall of Famer has focused on spreading his love of flat track racing across the West Coast. |
