May 5, 2014 - Has "maybe" replaced "will"? Has your determination waned in accomplishing a particular goal that you still would really like to achieve? Have you caught yourself saying that maybe it could be a possibility instead of believing it will be a probability?  Are you not seeing or feeling progress, which is why you are now doubting your ability to reach your goal? Determination is important, but truly believing it is your reality is even more potent in manifesting anything you set out to achieve. The saying that 'seeing is believing' should be replaced by the statement "believing is being." There is always something that can be done toward anything to which you are passionately committed and believing in.

 

Take an MM&I Moment to understand why you have lost some of your confidence or your belief about what you had hoped to accomplish. What are you disappointed by? What are you frustrated by? What has caused doubt or lack of progress? Now go back to why you want to achieve this goal. What will it mean for you? What will it bring to you? How will it make life better for you or others? What doors could be opened for you? What privileges could you realize? What satisfaction will you experience? What difference will it make that excites you or delights you? By embracing your reasons and reigniting your passion about what you want to achieve, you will quickly convert possibility into probability. It is all a matter of believing every day and doing even the smallest thing every day to bring it into being.

"CORPORATE CURE" BEING PRESENTED TODAY: My client, John Owens, CEO of Ameritrust and Owens Management Group, will be the dinner speaker presenting "Corporate Cure: What it Takes To Build a Company of Endurance" to the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) of the Carolinas this evening, May 5th. The Regional Meeting is being held at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, NC. I was a part of the development team who designed and beta tested the Corporate Culture Assessment tool called CURx2. John's book, Corporate Cure, will be coming out in pre-publication copies this summer and will be nationally released in late 2014. TEACHING "HOW DO I MARKET MY BUSINESS" IN SALISBURY ON MAY 6:
I will be at the North RCCC Campus in Salisbury, NC, to conduct a workshop for the Small Business Center entitled "How Do I Market My Business." Back by popular demand, I always look forward to sharing the marketing secrets of growth companies based on the CRISP Principle detailed in my book, 50 Marketing Secrets, as well as other value-added insights based on 30 years working with successful entrepreneurs all over the country. The course is in the evening from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at 1333 Jake Alexander Blvd. Thanks to funding from the Small Business Administration, the course is free. DENIM & DIAMONDS ON MAY 14:
The annual Denim & Diamonds event, a private gathering of the area's Most Influential Women is being held on May 14th at Diamonds Direct in Southpark of Charlotte, NC. Having been recognized for this coveted honor in 2009, I am most proud of clients who have been recognized. Among this year's 50 Most Influential Women, my client Joan Wright with O'Sullivan Wright, Inc. is being recognized. I would also like to recognize Nicole Sodoma of Sodoma Law as a 2014 recipient. Her firm was featured in my book, 50 Marketing Secrets, in Secret #41. Congratulations to Joan and Nicole for this well-deserved honor!
