MM&I Header

April 28, 2014 -  How often do you feel distracted and pulled in many directions? How often do you find yourself wishing you were doing something other than what you are doing right at that moment? If the answer is "often" or even "sometimes" to either one of these questions, you may be on the verge or already are disengaged in your own life. Do you feel frustration, lack of fulfillment, exhaustion, stress, unending demands and obligations, and are wishing for some form of escape from it all? Guess what? Escaping, even for a short period of time, may be exactly what you need.

Take an MM&I Moment to write down what you could do for 30 minutes or a couple of hours that would help you feel more engaged and satisfied today. Now write down where you would like to go or could go to enjoy this period to its fullest. Write down what you would do over an entire afternoon, an entire weekend, or even an entire week of escape. Look at your calendar and literally block off some time to do exactly what you have recorded here. No ifs. No ands. No buts. Giving yourself permission to be engaged in your own life is the first step towards having a life you absolutely adore.

ARE YOU COUNTING BREATHS OR MOMENTS?:
My April Me, Myself & Inc. column in Sophie Woman's Magazine is a very personal reflection while paying tribute to a woman whom I admired deeply, Lynne Rahe Byrd. A special gift she gave me and her meaningful words inspired this writing that was waiting for the right moment to be shared. I hope it will make you pause to reflect as well on how each of us can embrace every day by counting and creating treasured moments in our lives and the lives of others. To read the column, CLICK HERE and read to page 29.

ARE TOO MANY HATS SLOWING YOUR MOMENTUM? In my April BizGrowth 5.0 column, I tackle the issue of wearing too many hats or the wrong hat, but from a different angle than expected. Read the column by CLICKING HERE to see if your business' momentum has been losing its zeal as a result of these five issues.

ARE YOUR STANDARDS SENDING THE WRONG MESSAGE?:
In my March BizGrowth 5.0 column, I share five areas where entrepreneurs may be causing more harm than good. See if your company is practicing any of these missteps with regard to standards, processes and procedures by CLICKING HERE.
