MM&I Header

September 9, 2013 -  Are you focused only on the big wins in your work or career and you are not celebrating the small successes that are helping you get there? Are you beginning to feel that some of your goals may be too lofty and that you should adjust them?  Setting your sights high is of great merit as long as you are also recognizing your small successes along the way. Why is this important? Because when you take the time to acknowledge these minor accomplishments, you are also allowing time to understand how they were achieved so you can leverage them even more towards your ultimately desired success.

Take an MM&I Moment to list the small successes you have been able to realize most recently. Share and celebrate these successes with others and gain insight through discussing them and noting the key factors that contributed to these successful outcomes. Then identify the action you can take to leverage these successes in ways that will support and move you toward what you are ultimately striving to achieve. Before you know it, all those "high five" moments will lead you to "popping the cork" in celebration of reaching a goal that previously seemed unattainable.

Synergized Quote of the Week

"Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out." - Robert Collier

Savvy Secret Tip of the Week

Are your competitors getting the best from you? Your best people? Your best clients? Your best opportunities? Instead of focusing on what your competitors are taking away or steering away from you, why not consider how you can go on the offense to attract customers to you?  If you focus only on your defense against competitors, your thinking may actually be doing more harm than good to your business. Focus instead on understanding your Best Value Offense against competitors. Is it Best Product or Service? Is it Best Total Solutions? Is it Best Price?  Study competitors in this regard too. Learn how to choose the one "offense" that is right for your business and then leverage it against your competition by reading Secrets #3 (Beyond Capabilities), #7 (Strategy into the Plan) and #13 (Masters of Mindshare) in my book, 50 Marketing Secrets.
