MM&I Header

April 1, 2013 -  Are you fooling yourself into believing that you must have all the answers or know all the options before proceeding with a particular initiative or project you have underway?  When you get caught up in a need to have all the answers or options first, you can easily get stuck in a quagmire of never having all that you need to proceed. To truly make progress, your best opportunities come from taking action on what you know right now and therefore, what you can do right now based on what you currently know. Sometimes the options you need to consider should be considered before learning of any other options to gain the necessary insight to confirm they are viable.

Take an MM&I Moment to list what answers you have been able to find out and then list what you still feel that you need to know. Based on what you already know, what action can be taken while you get the additional information that you believe that you need? You may be surprised at what transpires because you began to take steps forward while still learning and exploring.  You will also find that by taking action on what you know, you may determine that what you thought you needed to know wasn't necessary after all.

Synergized Quote of the Week

"A fool wanders, a wise man travels." - Thomas Fuller

Savvy Secret Tip of the Week

If you are the brain or master technician behind the expertise or services your business provides, you could be missing out on lucrative profit-generating offerings beyond what you are currently doing.  Services and consulting businesses can create real value-added offerings by merely turning their knowledge into information products that can serve existing markets even better or open up entirely new markets to be served. To learn more about how to turn your knowledge into additional profit-making offerings, read Secret #11 (Productizing Expertise) in my book, 50 Marketing Secrets. To order the book, CLICK HERE!

ARE YOU LIVING IN AUTOPILOT?  Our busy, demanding lives can all too often put us in a mode of autopilot as we manage our day-to-day existence. However, if this becomes our norm, we may be missing out on the true joy of living each day. Are you living in autopilot? This is the topic of my April Me, Myself & Inc. column in Sophie Woman's Magazine. CLICK HERE to read the column, which is located on page 27.

ARE YOU REINVENTING FOR THE WRONG REASONS? During challenging economic times, reinventions occur more frequently than new inventions as a means of strategic survival and growth in a business. However, sometimes reinventing is ineffective and business owners are left scratching their heads as to why. Read my March BizGrowth 5.0 column titled "Are You Reinventing for the Wrong Reasons?" to gain some additional insight into the five areas in which I have witnessed reinvention gone awry. CLICK HERE to read the column.
