MM&I Header

December 3, 2012 - How do you handle adversity or challenges? Do you approach them from a perspective of feeling threatened or enlightened? Do you go beyond the surface level to get to the real matter at hand or do you allow the surface level to stun you and frustrate you? If everything was easy and went exactly as we had planned or hoped, we would not be able to fully appreciate our successes or even know what makes us successful.

Take an MM&I Moment to consider what is currently challenging you or you believe to be adversarial. Note why this is a challenge or how you feel threatened. Then ask yourself what you are learning or could learn or gain from this situation. By shifting to enlightenment, you shift from allowing negative energy to consume you into allowing positive energy to propel you towards answers, solutions and opportunities.

Synergized Quote of the Week

"Success is best measured not so much by the position one has reached, but by the obstacles which he has overcome."  - Booker T. Washington

Savvy Secret Tip of the Week

Are you more focused on covering ground or being grounded in your marketing efforts?  The idea of "pounding the pavement" may have worked in the 1950's and 60's in increasing sales, but for you or your sales people to truly be rainmakers for your business, simply having transportation and a phone doesn't cut it anymore.  To truly sustain and grow in today's economic landscape, strategy, positioning and focus are critical to success.  It's not about sales; it's about profits. It's not about appeal; it's about preference. It's not about footprint; it's about foothold. To learn more about how to be more strategic, agile and intentional in your business marketing and operations, read Secrets #5 (Profit Sizing), #6 (Sales is Not Marketing), #7 (Strategy into the Plan), #13 (Masters of Mindshare), and #19 (Segmenting & Targeting) in my book, 50 Marketing Secrets. To order the book, CLICK HERE!
