Teen Day Fuquay - Saturday, May 4 For the third year in a row, the Town will host Teen Day Fuquay, an alcohol and distracted driving program geared toward teens ages 11-18. At Teen Day, teenagers will have the chance to test their skills at the Drive Wise Course, filled with high tech and low tech activities designed to drive home the realities of mixing driving with alcohol or texting. Teen Day Fuquay is Saturday, May 4 from 11 am - 4 pm at South Park. It's all free. www.teendayfuquay.com.

Walk With WakeMed, Sunday, May 5
Join WakeMed for a family-friendly walk at South Park on Sunday, May 5 led by the physicians from Wake Specialty Physicians - Fuquay-Varina Primary Care. The free walk begins at 2 pm. South Park is located at 820 S. Main Street in Fuquay-Varina. There will be health information, music, activities for the kids, and an appearance by Twinkle, the Children's Hospital mascot.

Tackle Football Registration Begins May 1

Tackle Football Clinic - May 18We're celebrating our first-ever Tackle Football Program! On Saturday, May 18th from 8 am - 12:30 pm, Parks & Recreation, in partnership with Campbell University, will host a Tackle Football Clinic at Fleming Loop. For those registered with the Town's Tackle Football Program, the event is free. You can still attend if you are not registered with the Town's program. The cost is $20.00. Registration begins May 1 online or at the Community Center.

Pitch, Hit & Run Competition P&R will host a free Major League Baseball® Pitch, Hit & Run™ Competition for area youth on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 6:00 pm at South Park Fields 1 and 2. This grassroots program is designed to provide youngsters ages 7-14 with an opportunity to compete; free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball/softball skills. Spring Dance Recital-May 3
Parks & Recreation has a great youth dance program and the dancers will showoff what they have learned at the Spring Recital on Friday, May 3 at 7 pm. The Broadway and Theater themed program featuring ballet, tap, hip-hop and lyrical will be held at the Community Center. Free admission.

Krystal Harrison is now offering her experiences and talent to Fuquay-Varina in the form of a youth gymnastics program. This program is not only designed to introduce young children to the basics of gymnastics but also to contribute to their overall fitness and well-being!
