USEDA Awards $500,000 Planning Grant for Innovation Park@Rutgers
The effort to build an innovative technology park in New Jersey where academic and industry researchers can collaborate received a big boost recently in the form of a $500,000 federal grant to the university to continue planning the proposed Innovation Park@Rutgers. Christopher Molloy, senior VP for research and economic development, said that his team is developing a unique and creative plan for the physical space and programs in the research park, which would be the first such facility at Rutgers. Margaret Brennan-Tonetta, associate vice president for economic development at Rutgers, led the team that wrote the successful proposal. Read more here.

Promising New Technologies Available for Licensing
Some promising Rutgers technologies recently became available for licensing. Those include an intraoperative therapy to enhance post-surgery erectile function in men undergoing radical prostatectomy, a new enriched black tea extract to increase physical performance and reduce recovery time from intense exercise, and botanical functional ingredients for cosmetic, skin-care, food, nutritional products, and beverages. The 65th Roy A. Bowers Pharmaceutical Conference will be held September 30 at The Radisson, 21 Kingsbridge Road, Piscataway.
