What We're Reading
Featuring resources of interest to our members
Have you heard of Pinterest? It's' an online bulletin board where users "pin" items of interest, organizing them into categories. You can explore topics and follow pinners of interest. Here are a few resources to help you get started:
Pinterest Tutorial: This YouTube Video helps you get up and running with Pinterest in just 9 minutes! And, since it's designed for teachers, it has lots of ideas for using it as part of your classroom.
Learn More About How Educators Are Using Pinterest: Edudemic has an excellent guide for educators with real-life examples of Pinterest in the classroom.
Pinterest Boards for PreK-8: Ready to really dig in? Start with this site created by Tricia Stohr-Hunt that features free resources in a variety of areas for preK-8 teachers and be sure to leave plenty of time to explore.
Are you a master pinner? VSTE is looking for a few volunteers to help us with our Pinterest boards. Just send a message to Karen Richardson at karen_richardson@vste.org and we'll get you started.
