VSTE Board of Directors Call for Nominations Closes at 5 PM Today

You are invited to nominate yourself or a colleague to be considered for election to the Virginia Society for Technology in Education (VSTE) Board of Directors, for the 2013-2016 Board term (three years). This is an opportunity to become involved in the key decision-making group for the Virginia Society for Technology in Education.
The online election, which will be held in April 2012, is for three seats on the twelve-person Board of Directors.
You must be a VSTE member to nominate, to be nominated, and to participate in the online election. If you are receiving this email, you are a member.

Join Chris & Melissa Bugaj for an introduction to the podosphere to discover a wide array of free podcasts that can be used to differentiate instruction for learners of all ages. From listening stations for students to providing multi-modal professional development for staff, podcasts allow people to capitalize on the shortage of our most precious commodity; time. Partake in the discussion, share your favorite podcasts, learn how to search and subscribe to podcasts, and discover new ways to implement audio into your learning environments.
We'll meet at 4 PM on Wednesday, March 6, in VSTE's Adobe Connect room provided by Meeting One.

iPad Deployment Webinar and a Very Special Book
| The March Mobile Learning SIG webinar will be held Thursday, March 14, at 8 PM. William Waller, Technology Services Coordinator, Richmond City Public Schools and VSTE Board member, will share information, resources, and lessons learned related to iPad deployment. We'll meet in VSTE's Adobe Connect room provided by Meeting One.
Bea Cantor, Mobile Learning SIG secretary, was recently featured on Richmond's public broadcasting station. She described her new ebook, Calling Nature, as part of the series What's Bugging You. You can listen to the interview online and access the ebook from iTunes.

James Madison University Outreach and Engagement and VSTE are pleased to partner to bring you an exciting learning event this Spring. You'll learn about everything from Augmented Reality to Visual Literacy. Sessions will focus on mapping, flipping and creating.
The day will feature a keynote with Lan Neugent, Tammy McGraw and Rich Ingram on Building the Digital Future along with two-hour hands on and one-hour breakout sessions. It will be held on the campus of James Madison University on Saturday, March 23.
