July has been a great month with a ton of events and festivals on the go including Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan, Taste of Saskatchewan and the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Race.
At Tourism Saskatoon there have been a few staff changes and we would like to welcome the following people to our tourism family.
Sandra Miller, Convention, Sport and Event Coordinator
Amy Stewart-Nunn, Leisure Marketing Director
Kelsey Slorstad, Executive Assistant and Membership Coordinator
I will be moving into the Leisure Marketing Coordinator position for a 6 month term, as Tracey Thompson heads out to explore the United Kingdom.
Enjoy the summer, and keep your eyes open for the Experience Ride for some great summer suggestions on activities to do.
Sincerely,
Paula Lichtenwald, Membership Coordinator
Saskatoon Summer Experience Team
July has been a busy month for the Visitor Experience Experts starting with an appearance at the Optimist Canada Day Celebrations.
The experience ride has been putting on tons of miles travelling from the Dakota Dunes Open/PGA Tour to Auto Clearing Motor Speedway for the Canada Remembers Airshow, as well as the NASCAR races where plenty of promotional materials were distributed to visitors and locals.
Sunny has also been busy, attending Pion-Era and the Experience Downtown Saskatoon Sidewalk Sale. Other events where the Experience Experts found promoting Saskatoon are Taste of Saskatchewan, Cameco Day at the Zoo, the River Light Festival and Watercross Nationals.
Fun in the Sun Golf Tournament
Tourism Saskatoon & Saskatoon Sports Tourism would like to thank all our members who attended the 27th Annual Fun in the Sun Golf Tournament.
A big thank you also goes to the sponsors of the golf tournament. We couldn't have done it without you!
Golf team winners: Mark England, Denise Stroeder - Tourism Saskatchewan, Tim LeClair and Brad Kraft - SREDA and Tom Semaganis, Ron Hyggen, Vance McNab and Ken Cameron - Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority
