Here we are, it's already August and I hope things going fabulously well your career! Are you getting wins on the board and each day waking up looking forward to exciting new challenges?

 

Now, if things have been less than ideal, it may be time to reassess what is most important to you when it comes to job satisfaction.  Should you decide to explore your options then one of the first things you need to do is to update your LinkedIn profile.  I've found that LinkedIn is the most valuable tool to manage your online profile AND to generate a great deal of interest in the expertise you have to offer if you're exploring options.  

 

This month I want to show you the publishing option on LinkedIn.  This is being rolled out to all Linkedin members this year and it's a great way to build your brand.  One of my recent posts generated over 50,000 views within 2 weeks and over 1,700 shares - to see what almost went viral, click on the link to the post 'Do You Appear Desperate by Following Up?' Once you've read it, think about how you can boost your reach too.             

A quick update on my Careers book - now entitled: "Navigating Career Crossroads - How to Thrive when Changing Direction." All the editing has been done and the book cover design is amazing. I'm so grateful to Jacqueline Pretty and Norman Fox for their talent! All is now in the hands of my publisher. My heart flutters as the process continues - it's been a fascinating journey and I can't wait to see the first proof of the cover! Publish date (I hope!) is mid to late October!
