I am not sure when your package was sent-it was already here when our unit arrived in June, but I wanted to take a moment to let you know that it was appreciated.
This unit is currently stationed in Kandahar, and although many of the cards inside were for Christmas, they have made their way to the walls of our work spaces as a reminder of all the good things waiting for us at home. My personal favorite is a hand drawn snowman card from Evan, age 8. I see it each day as I start work and it makes me smile.
Thank you for the time you spend to help make each day here a little brighter. Many times, at the end of a long day, YOU are OUR heroes.
Thank you,
CW4 Lourie

First I would like to thank you for the great box I received today. Along with my shipmates, we are very grateful for your kind thoughts and prayers.
The letters were touching and I can't wait to be on the home front again. The box came in excellent condition with everything carefully packaged.
I enclosed a name for my friend who still has yet to receive a package of their own. Thanks for all you do with your support. It means the world to us.
Thankfully, LS3 Cheyenne
