Greetings!

Our shelves are bare.  The transport crew had expressed concern that we wouldn't have enough to fill the boxes going out this week.  Then 2500 lbs came in from a collection from the Algonquin area schools.

This week we will ship our last 250 boxes for the 2012 year.   250 times 25 lbs each is 6,250 lbs going out the door.     We need more donations if we want to keep the smiles on the faces of our troops in 2013.   Please do what you can to help.

I recently received one of your care packages, and I must say that I was extremely grateful for everything that was in it.   I shared my box with some of my fellow soldiers.   We are very grateful to have the support of you guys and America.

I really enjoyed reading the letters from the kids.  It really melts my heart.  Again we are grateful for your support, and thank you so much for your time and effort in making sure that Soldiers like myself, and other battle buddies, feel loved and remembered while we are deployed.

Thank you all,

I just wanted to send a message of gratitude for the thoughtful gift and the wonderful job that you women & men do. A fellow soldier here with me in Afghanistan gave me this and it really put a smile on my face and made me feel like someone out there cares about us being here. Thank you once again for your tireless service to sending these packages to soldiers all over the nation.

Sincerely,

Valerie
