As always, and especially for anyone new to the Wholly Macro Delivery world, we encourage you to order extra food to freeze for use while we are closed. All of our menus are surprisingly freezer friendly, and are just perfect for ordering extra food from to freeze.

We are now giving you Two Weeks advance notice about our upcoming closure to allow plenty of time for you to stock up on a variety of items from our Weekly Delivery Service Menus, including this one.


We hope you will take us up on our offer, take us up on the advice provided in the links above (because it works!!), and use the next two menus / weeks / and time wisely.


We won't be going out of town during this closure. We are closing to do some much needed renovating, reorganizing, and revamping of the Wholly Macro kitchen and pantry. There are a few rather large projects we need to work on in order to continue accommodating our extensive collection of food, pots, pans, equipment, and clientele, and we thank-you so much for bearing with us while we do so.

ABOUT THIS WEEKS MENU 
 
 
   

What could be more perfect?? Our delivery day this week falls just days before Valentine's Day!!

 

Just in time for you to order the perfect Valentine's Day dinner, beat the restaurant crowds, impress that special someone, or even (and most importantly) yourself, by creating a romantic and ambient evening using the super sexy, strengthening, healthy, and beautiful menu that we have in store for you this week.

 

PS, everything on this menu freezes really well, so please don't forget to order a few extra containers for use during our closure.
 

We love, love, love the Cr�me Of Parsnip Miso Soup. There is something so sensual about the thick, rich, creamy nature of this soup. And it makes a gorgeous presentation. The parsnips give it a subtle, gentle kick while at the same time providing calcium and potassium. Ounce for ounce, parsnips have about 31% as much calcium as milk. Think: Strong bones!

 

We also have Thyme Brushed Grilled Shiitake Mushrooms With Brown Rice And Millet. Whole grains such as brown rice and millet give us long lasting, steady, blood sugar stabilizing energy and endurance. That could be a useful feature for Valentine's Day, don't you think? Or should we say Valentine's  Day night?!

And the Shiitake Mushrooms are full of cholesterol lowering - artery unclogging properties. Why is this important, besides for the obvious reasons? Because it will help to keep your blood circulation flowing freely so that it can get to all of your strategic organs, including, but not limited to, your heart!

 

Next we have a colorful and phyto-nutrient rich dish called Raspberry Glazed Tempeh and Rutabaga. Ladies, the tempeh is a very nice source of healthy and natural plant based estrogens, the type of estrogen that protects you from harmful chemical estrogens. And it is also a nice way to prepare yourselves for some Valentine's Day shenanigans!

 

And Gentlemen, this next dish, the Penne Pasta With Pistachio Pesto is full of naturally high in zinc pistachio nuts. Zinc is an essential nutrient related to prostate health! Pistachios also contain vital kidney supportive chi energy. In oriental medicine the kidneys are the regulators of the entire hormone producing - glandular regulating adrenal system of our bodies. So yes, strong kidneys keep our ovaries, prostate, adrenal glands, thyroid gland, and so on strong, healthy, and functioning, among their various other important functions.

 

The vegetable dish this week, the Green Bean Kinpira, is intentionally full of fresh burdock root. Burdock root strengthens and cleanses our blood. Many of you may not have ever seen fresh burdock root. It looks like a large tree branch, and grows straight down into the ground, splitting rocks in its path. When we eat it, it imparts that same rock splitting strength into our bodies, giving us long lasting endurance for hmm, we don't know, any activity you may need your strength and endurance for this Valentines Day (if you get our gist)!!

 

And last but far from least, the dessert. Strawberry Shortcake. We think strawberries were absolutely invented for Valentines Day!! Our local market has the most gorgeous, deep red Florida winter strawberries, they fill the air with their aromatic flowery scent. And when we slice them, they remind us of little red hearts, and their sweet, sticky juice really stimulates the saliva glands! We love the fact that this healthy dessert provides us with a way to indulge in the eroticism that a delicious dessert invokes, especially on Valentines Day, without the guilt, and without the sugar crash.

 

Because who wants to end a perfect evening in a lethargic, sugar induced stupor?

We really did have several requests from some of our more "frisky" clients to make an aphrodisiac like menu for Valentines Day this year. We had a lot of fun creating it!! And all joking aside, it is not just sexy, it is SUPER food!!

CR�ME OF PARSNIP MISO SOUP

A rich, sultry, and very romantic soup, just full of naturally sweet and subtly cinnamon-y parsnips. Parsnips, a root vegetable with the ability to relax and nurture the spleen/pancreas because of their natural sweetness, while imparting deep rooted strength and endurance at the same time, are creamed together with red lentils cooked with kombu sea vegetable, calcium rich almonds, immune system strengthening shiitake mushrooms, yellow onions, shallots, and wakame sea vegetable, in a base of enzyme rich sweet yellow miso. Garnished with fresh parsley.
THYME BRUSHED GRILLED SHIITAKE'S WITH BROWN RICE AND MILLET

More and more promising research is being discovered on the value of mushrooms for many medicinal uses, and they are so flavorful and exotic too, no wonder they have been so highly valued in Asia for centuries! This dish combines the succulent flavors of shiitake mushrooms, and all of their inherent healing properties, brushed with fresh thyme, and served over a medium grain brown rice, millet, and kombu sea vegetable grain medley, garnished with fresh parsley.
RASPBERRY GLAZED TEMPEH AND RUTABAGA

Tempeh, a naturally fermented and therefore very digestible soy bean product that is high in protein and minerals, while low in fat and cholesterol, is cooked with good for the stomach rutabaga, then coated with a raspberry, kuzu, ginger and brown rice syrup glaze.  This dish, with its high protein content and gentle sweetness is naturally energizing and relaxing to the body, and an energized and relaxed body creates a happy person, and all kinds of possibilities for a romantic Valentines Day!! Garnished with live scallions!
PENNE PASTA WITH PISTACHIO PESTO

Brown rice is the base of these lovely penne noodles that are tossed in a fragrant and low fat pesto made from mineral and essential fatty acid rich pistachio's blended with bright green bursting with chlorophyll and good for the liver fresh parsley, fresh basil, yellow miso, highlighted with digestion stimulating and enzyme rich natural organic green olives.
GREEN BEANS KINPIRA ALMANDINE

Graceful french cut green beans, are lightly stir fried with blood cleansing and generally strengthening fresh burdock root, beautiful beta carotene rich julienne carrots, good for the spleen/pancreas rutabaga, circulation stimulating fresh ginger root, lung health promoting fresh lotus root, a touch of flavorful toasted sesame oil and shoyu soy sauce, and a crunchy garnish of lightly roasted almond slivers.

Most foods used in the Wholly Macro kitchen are not packaged, but instead are bought in the produce section or in bulk. But as you know, cross contamination is always a possibility, especially with bulk items. And in the few packaged foods that we do use, such as nut butters for example, it is common to find warnings on the manufacturer label stating that the item was processed in a plant that handles tree nuts, soy, wheat, dairy, gluten, shellfish, and so on.  

 

Wholly Macro cannot be responsible for trace amounts of common food allergens that come from outside (packaged  or bulk items), and therefore end up occurring within our prepared foods. Please use your own discretion in determining if our food is appropriate for your consumption, especially if you have severe food allergies.

 

We are always available to clarify any of the ingredients that we use, and assist you in your weekly selections, but we cannot keep track of your food allergies, sensitivities, likes, dislikes or preferences.
