We were just overwhelmed last week (in a good way) by all of the warm greetings, welcome backs, New Year wishes, and otherwise wonderful correspondence that we received from all of you after our holiday hiatus.

 

Thank-You so much!! It was great to hear from each and everyone of you!

Happy Food, Happy Cells, Happy Bodies, Happy Life

 

 

I had an intuitive revelation this year that it was very important to spend the holidays, especially New Years Eve and New Years Day, in the most peaceful and positive state of being possible.

 

I don't know where the knowledge of the importance of this came from, but it presented itself to me, and I honored it.

 

And after all of the many years that I have unhappily spent, full of stress and drama about "the holidays", (and life in general), especially when I was much younger, it felt so good to just accept and observe, watch the holidays come. Watch them go. And do everything that I possibly could to insure that I was exactly where I wanted to be, and doing exactly what I wanted and needed to be doing.

 

 

 

In complete and total peace.

 

Happily honoring myself.

 

As I thought about my entire experience over the holidays, I thought: Why not extend these principles into every day of my life, not just "the holidays".

 

The holidays, and life in general, are all about giving.

 

Giving to others.

 

But what about ourselves?

 

Who teaches us to give to ourselves??

 

I was talking to a very wise friend today and we both observed that neither one of us were taught to take care of ourselves.

 

We were only taught to take care of others. 

But in observing people, I see that people who selflessly take care of themselves do very well in life!

 

This does not in any way require that you to take less care of others, nor that you give less of yourself to others.

 

It only requires that you learn how to make sure that your own needs are met in addition, if not FIRST.

 

What possible use and good are we to others if we don't take care of ourselves? How can we give our very best to others if we ourselves are not complete and whole??

 

It is true: You will be a happier and healthier person if you GIVE.

 

There is a lot of research about this.

 

 

 

"People who volunteer live longer".

 

"Making a difference makes you happier and therefore healthier".

 

But to whom are we giving??

 

Learn to give to yourself.

 

Volunteer to do something nice for yourself each day, and make YOURSELF happy.

 

Make a difference in your own life, and lead by example.

 

Many famous people do this you know. Actors, athletes, spiritual leaders, exercise gurus.

 

We watch and admire them as they hone their own skills and fine-tune their own bodies. First.

 

They have to take care of themselves first, before they can teach and entertain others.

 

We wish that we could be like them. Perform like them. Look like them.

 

Well we can, if, (big if) we learn to take that kind of care of our own selves first, nurturing the best part of our own selves fully in order to bring that glow, that talent, that knowledge, and that energy to ourselves first so that it can then naturally overflow into those around us.

 

It is a fact that our cells have memories.

 

Happiness positively influences our immune system on a cellular level. 

A new study from the UCLA School Of Medicine has concluded that flooding your body with feel good happiness derived from a higher good, (not from hedonistic self satisfaction, and yes, there is a difference!), creates a favorable gene profile, less inflammation, higher natural levels of antibody and antiviral activity, and a longer healthier life.

 

Our bodies know this on a cellular level.

 

It is up to us to connect the dots though, and to infuse our bodies with positive input in the form of positive energy, positive thoughts, positive people, and positive surroundings.

 

We owe that to ourselves at the very least.

 

And what better way to do that, in addition to all of the above, than to infuse our bodies with happy positive food as well?

 

Plants, and even animals, in their natural state, are innately happy positive entities.

 

 

Happy food is naturally grown, chemical free food

 

Food that is lovingly prepared to bring out the very best of the plants energy.

 

The happy cells in the happy food infuse our bodies cells, and trigger and reinforce the happiness genes within our own bodies.

 

We do have happiness genes within our bodies. Within our immune systems.

 

If we infuse our bodies with enough happy cells, we can impact our genetic profile, and change the memories we hold within our bodies from sadness, anger, hurt, and sickness, to happiness and health!

 

This in turn gives our immune system, and all parts of our body, a great big happy positive feel good boost!

 

Envision this throughout your day, and especially throughout each of your meals.

 

Please be sure that everything that you do, everyone that you deal with, and everything that you put in, on, and around your body is saturated with happy cells!

 

Try not to allow negative input to enter your body in any way, shape, or form.

 

It is up to us to shield ourselves from negative impact, and we do have the power and right to do this for ourselves.

Then, as we feed our bodies happy food in order to create happy cells, these happy cells will radiate throughout our entire mind ~ body, they will begin to transform our entire genetic make-up, and they will bring this happiness into our entire life, and into the lives of those around us as well.

 

This is true giving. 



May health, happiness, and prosperity be your unavoidable natural state and your ongoing daily experience.

A rich full bodied macrobiotic version of the Italian classic, using a variety of mineral rich and kidney strengthening beans: black, white, and chick peas, combined with bite sized dices of carrot, celery, yellow onion, sweet and fragrant fennel, bitter green liver cleansing arugula, brown rice spiral noodles, (the coolest little round, hollow noodles that allow little items like beans to float through them!), flavorful and decorative cremini mushrooms, energetically relaxing and cleansing shiitake mushrooms, wakame sea vegetable, barley miso, and a sprinkling of fresh green chlorophyll rich Italian parsley. 

BROWN RICE AND WHOLE OAT RISOTTO

 Ah, the calming and balancing whole grain dish! Strengthening medium grain brown rice is slowly cooked with thick and creamy whole oats, which lend themselves perfectly to the formation of a sweet and creamy risotto made with kombu sea vegetable, sweet and enzyme rich yellow miso, mirin - a naturally fermented brown rice cooking "sherry", pungent and flavorful organic capers, slices of cremini mushrooms to add richness, flavor, and creaminess, slices of shiitake mushroom to impart their unique flavor and immune strengthening health giving properties, and a sliced green scallion garnish.

Wholly Macro cannot be responsible for trace amounts of common food allergens that come from outside (packaged  or bulk items), and therefore end up occurring within our prepared foods. Please use your own discretion in determining if our food is appropriate for your consumption, especially if you have severe food allergies.

 

We are always available to clarify any of the ingredients that we use, and assist you in your weekly selections, but we cannot keep track of your food allergies, sensitivities, likes, dislikes or preferences.
