WEEKLY ARTICLE
Anti - Angiogenesis Foods: The Cure For What Ails Us
While browsing through a number of informative emails that had piled up in my inbox, I came across one that contained a video of a man named William Li.
I have actually never heard of him.
But I like what he has to say!
I want to share his video with you because I get multiple phone calls and emails daily from seriously and understandably distressed family members and friends, whose loved ones (most of whom are ill, many with cancer) will not include a healthy diet in their medical treatment.
I think this video clip may help all of us.
This man, William Li, (a doctor) speaks very scientifically about the link between diet and disease.
He uses cancer as the primary example. And for those of you / us who have had cancer, or who have a loved one who has had (or has) cancer, and not to belittle other types of illness, I think you will agree with me when I say that cancer pretty much trumps any other disease.
I love how this man bridges science and nutrition. I love how he bridges heady medical concepts with holistic thinking.
And I love how he humbly presents the idea that eating to prevent disease is the key.
While I have written many newsletters on the subject of food, diet, lifestyle, genetics, and disease prevention, it is always good to hear it again from another perspective. Please check out the Wholly Macro Newsletter ARCHIVES for the following related articles: How Food Heals - May 26, 2011, How Food Can Make Or Break The Game Of Life - May 19, 2011. Life Is A Genetically Positive Gift - September 12, 2012.
And please find the video link that I am referring to just below.
Please do not focus so much on the foods that William Li uses as examples, as much as on the principle behind the food / disease link that he presents.
|
He is coming from the medical scientific community with a beautiful desire to incorporate food into "the cure" for what ails us.
And as amazing as this video is, (and why it has not gotten more recognition is beyond me); it barely touches the tip of the iceberg of ALL of the many foods that contain the same healing properties as the very few that he mentions.

William Li: Can We Eat To Starve Cancer?
|
|
Please please share this newsletter and video with anyone that you know who needs to see it, and with anyone you know who does not believe in the power of food to heal, because this is absolutely it. Significant scientific data that PROVES that food plays a major role in disease prevention and cure.
And while you are sharing this newsletter and video, please don't forget to order the deliciously wonderful anti - angiogenesis foods that are incorporated into the dishes that you will find to select from within the July 10, 2013 Wholly Macro Delivery Menu, which you will find just below.
Please also remember to order extra dishes to freeze while we are closed. It is a delicious menu, full of freezer friendly Wholly Macro favorites!

Here's some feedback from a consultation client..... " three years ago I discovered that I had breast cancer. I had heard of Macrobiotics years ago. I didn't understand the concept but immediately I knew that that would be the route that I would pursue. But where to go and who to see was the question. Thank God for reading the macrobiotic newsletter. For in the newsletter there was an article about Gayle Stolove. I just felt her strength and passion burn through the page that I was reading. I immediately made an appointment to see her and although I was still so frightened, I felt so comfortable talking with Gayle. Gayle guided me through the whole process. I thought that the macrobiotic way of life would be boring and just eating rice. Well, I love the foods that I eat and I just feel good about it all. You see, after the surgery, you are sort of left on your own.You have to make your own decisions, etc. Everyone gives you different advice as what to eat, what to do, etc. Doctors don't understand what the patient is going through nor do they understand what kind of diet they should follow. I adopted Gayle as my guardian angel. You can't find that with any nutritionist or doctor. I love receiving her weekly e-mailed newsletters. They are so full of wonderful knowledge and beautiful healthy recipes. Gayle is a remarkable human being. She truly cares for her clients and gives them her all, one hundred percent of the time. Gayle has been there and therefore she is so compassionate and dedicates her life to helping people like me....." a cancer survivor |
