Time is drawing near for the Women Who Shape Santa Monica reception, Thursday evening, March 26th at 7:00pm.  Honorees are, in alphabetical order, Rochelle Fanali, Julia Miele, Julie Rusk and, for the Christobal Pankhurst Award, Sandy Jacobson.  Our special guest will be LWVC President Helen Hutchison.  This event is in the beautiful 10th floor penthouse at Ocean House, 2107 Ocean Ave. in Santa Monica.  You may use Paypal from our website to secure your reservation or send a check to our address at the bottom of this page. League Urges Congress to Continue Funding CHIP
The League joined with 1,500 leading national, state, tribal, and local organizations in  a letter urging Congress to provide continued funding for the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). The League has long supported CHIP and believes that continued funding is necessary for the program to continue to provide health coverage for millions of children.
