IT IS ELECTION DAY!  If you have not yet voted, please do.  There are many important decisions being made affecting us here in Santa Monica and on the westside.  If you still have questions two League resources are available on line.
  • Smartvoter.org is your resource for where to vote, what is on your sample ballot, and more information on candidates, including judges
  • www.easyvoterguide.org  has information on the ballot measures and basic information for first time voters in English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean.

LWVSM Annual Meeting Coming Up Soon

 

Just a reminder - if you haven't already, please be sure to R.S.V.P. to league@lwvsantamonica.org or 310-692-1493 for the LWVSM's annual meeting, 11:30a.m., Saturday, June 14 at Fritto Misto restaurant at 601 Colorado Boulevard (flyer here).

 

We'll have a chance to catch up on League plans and activities, elect new boardmembers, and hear an engaging presentation on the state of affordable housing in Santa Monica by Community Corporation Executive Director Sarah Letts.

 

All while enjoying great food at one of Santa Monica's best Italian restaurants.  What could be better!

DID YOU KNOW
June 7 is the anniversary of a very sad day in Santa Monica when six lives were lost to gun violence.  Each individual will have their own way of commemorating the day.  For those who wish an inter-faith prayer service, they may join with others at St. Monica's at 9:15a.m.  More information is here. www.smtriparish.org
