April 21, 2014

Today is Earth Day and there are many League positions and programs we could mention but, considering this year's lack of rain, this infographic we found on line from the Metropolitan Water District of Orange County seemed the way to go.

Photo: Did you know that the average American uses 2,000 gallons of water each day? Many of us consume more water than we realize, but it's easier to conserve water once you understand how and where you can use less.

CANDIDATE FORUMS
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

May 3 is less than two weeks away.  That is the date of our Board of Supervisors Candidate Forum, 10:00-11:30AM.  If you have questions you would like to have asked, and we hope you do, please email them this week to inatsugub@aol.com.  The forum will be at the Edye Second Stage, Broad Theater, 11th and Arizona in Santa Monica.  For those not familiar with the venue, there is lots of free parking.

SHERIFF CANDIDATES

While this is not an official League sponsored forum, we thought it would be of interest to our members.

This forum will be Thursday, April 24, 6:30-9:30p.m. at the Church in Ocean Park, 235 Hill Street in Santa Monica.

See the Facebook event for more information!
DON'T FORGET!
