CANDIDATE FORUMS
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

For the first time in many years there is not an incumbent in the race for Supervisor of the Third District.  The League of Women Voters of Santa Monica, with the co-sponsorship of Los Angeles Universal Preschool (LAUP) is sponsoring a Candidate Forum on Saturday,May 3, 10:00 to 11:30AM, at the EDYE Second Stage, Broad Theater, 11th and Arizona in Santa Monica.  Confirmed participants are: John Duran, Sheila Kuehl, Bobby Shriver, and Pamela Conley Ulich.  RSVP to rsvp@laup.net before May 1. A flyer is available here.

OPPORTUNITY ALERT....SEND US YOUR QUESTIONS

On May 3, 2014, LWVSM and LAUP are cosponsoring a candidates forum for the LA County Board of Supervisors. (see above).  As has become our custom, we are asking our members to submit questions in advance of the forum.  We have found that questions submitted in advance tend to cover more issues in greater depth.

Take advantage of this opportunity to have your question asked during the forum.

Candidates will have one minute to answer each question. Therefore, questions should be:  short, concise, focused, nonpartisan, and directed to all candidates (not just directed to one).

DEADLINE: Send your questions to inatsugub@aol.com before Friday, April 25, 2014.

SHERIFF CANDIDATES

While this is not an official League sponsored forum, we thought it would be of interest to our members.

This forum will be Thursday, April 24, 6:30-9:30p.m. at the Church in Ocean Park, 235 Hill Street in Santa Monica.
