Today's Turning the Tide Focus: God's Healing and Protection
|
Parent's Prayer:
Dear Lord, There are so many things that concern us with our child, not the least of which is his/her safety. There seems to be many dangers to which ______ is particularly vulnerable. This can cause great anxiety, especially when we cannot be with him/her. Lord, comfort us with the knowledge that you are always with him/her every hour of the day. We thank you that this Psalm assures us that you order your angels to protect us. We pray, Lord, that you would set a special wall of protection around him/her in every circumstance. We ask that you would keep him/her safe from all accidents, harm, danger, or injury. Lord, we thank you that you are his/her champion and protector, and that we can rely on you to fulfill your promises! In Jesus' Name, Amen

Today's Turning the Tide Focus: Fighting to Turn the Tide!
|
Parent's Prayer:
Dear Father, We thank you, Lord, that as we fight the battle against autism that we are not alone fighting in our own strength, but that you have promised to be with us. Thank you that with your help we will do mighty things! There is no illness under the sun that is too big for you to heal. There is no affliction that is more than you can defeat. We thank you, Lord, that the Name of Jesus is far more powerful than the name of autism. We pray that you would teach us to wage war against autism and its destructive forces. Help us to be your instruments on Earth that will truly turn the tide of autism. We boldly ask that you would trample every foe that has set itself up against our families and all families with autism. We pray that you would completely heal _____ and (name some others you know with autism). In Jesus' Name, Amen

Extended Prayer Points:
"We are human, but we don't wage war with human plans and methods. We use God's mighty weapons, not mere worldly weapons, to knock down the Devil's strongholds. With these weapons we break down every proud argument that keeps people from knowing God. With these weapons we conquer their
rebellious ideas, and we teach them to obey Christ. And we will punish those who remained disobedient after the rest of you became loyal and obedient." (2 Corinthians 10:3-6, NLT)
- Pray that families dealing with autism would understand that their struggles are not against people or companies and that they would turn to God in prayer in order to see the true sources of autism defeated.
"For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory." (Deuteronomy 20:4, NIV)
"For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies-the evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world." (Ephesians 6:12, TLB)
"Bless the LORD, who is my rock. He gives me strength for war and skill for battle. He is my loving ally and my fortress, my tower of safety, my deliverer. He stands before me as a shield, and I take refuge in him. He subdues the nations under me." (Psalm 144:1-2, NLT)
- Pray that we would truly understand what the battle against autism is, and that we would gain revelation from the Lord on how to wage heavenly war against it.

Today's Turning the Tide Focus: Family and Friends
|
Parent's Prayer:
Dear Father,
Thank you for the family and friends that you have given us who help us in times of trouble. There are days we want to scream for help. There are also those who would like to offer us help, but perhaps do not know what they can do or are reluctant to ask. We ask that you would help us to effectively communicate with one another, whether it is us needing help or them wanting to offer help. Lord, we also ask for the days when we feel alone in this struggle of autism that you would give us people to surround us. Father, we pray that you would provide us with those who will lift us up in prayer and with other needs when we feel overtaken by the many issues we face. We also ask that we would be able to identify those you have put in our lives who have keys we need. No matter what situation we have with our extended family and friends, we thank you that we can always rely on the Holy Spirit to offer great help in times of need and desperation.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen
