 Parent's Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Even though ________'s mind and body is affected by autism, we thank you that autism cannot touch his/her spirit. Thank you, Lord, that his/her ability to commune with you continues to function, and that you are able to connect with him/her in ways we may not be seeing, or may not be able to understand. Lord, we pray that he/she would be able to hear your voice deep within his/her heart. We ask that you would bring comfort, joy, and peace when no human can. We ask that you would minister to places of pain and frustration deep within. We pray that he/she would recognize your wooing and drawing to yourself, and would have an intimate relationship with you despite his/her physical ability to communication with others. We believe that you can and will do this for him/her! Thank you, Lord, for your deep love and care that will sustain him/her in the days ahead.
