Parent's Prayer:
Dear Father,
We thank you that if we will acknowledge your name, that you will keep our footing safe. We do acknowledge your name today and give you the praise and glory for all the good things you have done in our lives. Lord, we thank you that you have given your angels charge over us to keep us from getting in situations that would cause us to slip and loose our footing. Father, we ask that you would especially guard our family and give us eyes to see when we are straying from the path you would have us on. We also pray for _______ and ask that you would help us to keep him/her on the path that you have ordained so that he/she can continue to make progress. Help us to know the right decisions concerning his/her care that would propel him/her forward. We thank you, Lord, that you have promised to rescue us and protect us in all our circumstances.

We thank you, Lord, that in giving us prayer, you have given us a powerful tool that brings wonderful results. Thank you for the great hope you have given us because we are able to communicate with you. How comforting it is to know that we can inquire of you when we have confusion or doubt, and that you will provide us with clarity and direction. Lord, we thank you for the awesome promises in your Word. Teach us how to pray with even greater effectiveness in days ahead. Lord, we especially ask that you would show us how to pray for ______. We thank you that in Isaiah 65:24 you say that you answer us before we even call upon you, and that you will hear our prayer while we are yet speaking!

We thank you that every provision you have made for us is out of love. We thank you that because of your deep love for us, that you sent your only son to die, so that we may live in a right relationship with you, so our sins can be forgiven, and so we can have eternal life. Lord, we pray that today ______ would feel and understand your love for him/her in a new and deep way that only you can communicate. We also pray that you would give us the ability to love, have patience for, and forgive one another, even when circumstances are difficult and overwhelming. Give us a supernatural infusion of your love deep within our hearts, and give us wisdom in every important relationship in our lives.
