Dear Lord,
Thank you for the awesome promise that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Lord, we thank you that in our weakness, you are strong. Thank you that your strength gives us power to overcome any obstacles so that we are able to accomplish your purposes on Earth. Father, we thank you for ________. We thank you for the wonderful gift he/she is to our lives. We ask Lord that each day you would give us a new measure of strength so that we can handle all the challenges of raising a child with autism. Help us, Lord, to gain new insights and strategies for helping him/her blossom into all he/she can be. We thank you for your plans and purposes for this precious child. (If you have other typical children, continue...)Lord, we also thank you for your gift of (name your other children). We thank you for what a blessing they are in our lives as well. Lord, you see the special challenges they face by having a sibling with autism. Father, we pray that in this day you would visit them with a new wind of strength to face those challenges, and that your love for them would be made abundantly clear to them in days ahead.
