Parent's Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,
Today we come before you, Lord, to praise you and to thank you for all the wonderful things you have done in our lives. Father, even in the midst of life's trials and pains, and even when we are surrounded by grief, let us never forget that we are also surrounded by your goodness and your love. Every breath we draw is a gift from you. Every provision we have is because of your mercy toward us. When the cares of this world are closing in on us from every side, let us always remember that you are our defender and our shield, and that as we abide in the shadow of your wing, we are safe. We thank you, Lord, for the many blessings you have given us in the past and for the many blessings you have in store. We thank you for all that you have done for ______ and that you have promised not to abandon the work of your hands, nor forget the promises you have made.
