Parent's Prayer:
Father,
We thank you that you are the God who causes each new day to break forth. We thank you that when we have come through a hard season, you are the God who makes the seasons change and causes new life to spring forth. We thank you, Lord, that you cause any discouragement, disillusionment, or disinterest of our past season to fall away, and that you revive and restore us. We thank you that we can awaken to a new day that is filled with new blessings, and that you allow us to live in your presence with joy and satisfaction regardless of our circumstances. Lord, please cause a new day to dawn over this family. Cause all these blessings to become a reality for us. Please bring a new day of healing and wholeness to ________. May your Spirit arise afresh in our lives, we pray.

We especially pray that we would have your wisdom in dealing with _______'s needs. Lord, we do recognize that there are many potential paths we could take for ______, but we ask that you would direct our steps in your perfect path for him/her. We thank you for all the progress he/she has made, and we thank you that his/her future is in your hands. (If you have other children, continue...) Father, we also ask for wisdom for how best to parent (name your other children). We thank you that their futures are also in your hands and that you care very deeply for them. Help them in whatever struggles they may be facing, and we pray that today you would reveal to them how important they are to you.

I ask that you would right and way in which he/she has been mistreated or misunderstood. I ask that you would heal any wounding in his/her heart over any rejected he/she may have experienced. I ask that you would also minister your healing to every other member of this family who has suffered at the hands of another. I thank you that you are the God of all comfort, and that when we call on you, you are faithful to hear us and to respond.
