PTA LEADER UPDATE

A weekly bulletin from your Council PTA to keep you informed.

Greetings

We are really looking forward to seeing all our representatives from over 100 PTAs and PTSAs in Guilford County this coming Tuesday! You will hear from Superintendent Maurice "Mo" Green, learn about upcoming events like the Emerging Leaders Conference and ACC/PTA Family Night, and much more.

The Cultural Arts Center is located at 200 Davie Street. The easiest place to park is in the parking garage off of Church Street next to the public library. Once you park, head to the Cultural Center and our meeting is in the first room on the bottom level where you entered.

If you arrive early or have a few minutes after, be sure to view all the GCS student work from the Reflections Program. Twenty-four 1st place winners and two special artists have moved onto the state level of the program! Click here for a list of all winners at the county level.

Our Full Council Meeting will begin promptly at 11:30am. Thank you in advance for taking time out of your day to support our mission of helping all children in Guilford County.

Reminders

We will provide copies of all documents for the meeting on Tuesday, but we encourage you to take a look in advance. We will need your vote on the minutes from the September Full Council Meeting and to amend our budget.

Register Now for the Emerging Leaders Conference. This will take place in Charlotte on February 8th and is only $10! Let's have a great turn out by Guilford County PTAs.

Response Needed

Does your PTA or PTSA offer mini-grants to staff at your school?

If you have a good process in place for collecting needs from staff, voting on and then distributing grant money to your school, we would love to hear about it!

PTAs should never have to reinvent the wheel. It's great to share ideas and programs that work. Once we have collected ideas, we will share them with everyone.
