PTA LEADER UPDATE
A weekly bulletin from your Council PTA to keep you informed.

Greetings
Thanks again to everyone who came out for the Parent Engagement Conference and PTA Training last Saturday.  If you were unable to join us, we hope you can attend our next event!  On October 15th we are hosting PTA Networking sessions by grade level. Elementary will take place at 10:00am, Middle school at 6:00pm and High school at 7:00pm - all in the PTA Room behind the GCS building at 712 Eugene Street.

On behalf of GCC of PTAs, I would like to extend our best wishes to the 2013 Principal of the Year, Ged O'Donnell from Montlieu Academy of Technology and the 2013 Teacher of the Year, Eugene Grant from Southeast High School.  Congratulations to all the finalists; Guilford County is fortunate to have so many amazing staff dedicated to our children.

Presidents, please be sure to share information with your boards, pass this email on and feel free to share Friday Forwards with all parents at your school.  Communication builds trust and collaboration in your communities.

You all are wonderful; thanks for your dedication!

Take care,
Katie Sayani
GCC of PTAs
President
