This weekly update is all about the Parent Engagement Conference and PTA Training this coming Saturday, September 14th at A&T University.
It's not too late to register! This free fall training is extremely important for leaders to have a successful year. Lunch is provided to those who register.
Highlights include: quality workshops from NCPTA without having to travel to Raleigh, top GCS staff discussing pertinent education issues that affect our children, resources available from child-related non-profits, networking with leaders, GCS employees and community.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone at A&T this Saturday from 8:00am-3:00pm!

- Encourage fellow leaders or friends to attend with you - this way you don't miss a workshop that may help your school
- Directions: from East Market Street, turn onto Benbow and make a left onto Bluford
- Park in the lots only - off the circle on Bluford (parking decks are not free)
- Check in when you arrive to pick up your bag, name tag, information, etc.
- Look for the Membership table if you need to turn in your council dues
- Visit resource tables and grab a light breakfast
- Wear comfortable clothing
