The following are items sent to GCC of PTAs from our community partners, non-profits with similar missions and other organizations that benefit children.

If you missed the August 1st deadline, do not worry! Go ahead and submit applications with documentation in order for booster clubs and other support groups to be approved in accordance with GCS policy KD (Booster Clubs and Other Support Organizations). Although there were a few bumps in the road, the first year of implementation was relatively successful.
This is an annual process and all required information must be submitted, preferably using the online application process. You may want to review the booster club and other support group information on the GCS website.You must initiate a new agreement for the 2013-14 school year. Although you must submit the other documents along with the agreement, they can be the same as last year as long as the information has not changed.

Back to School: Resources for Parents
Summer is starting to wind down and soon thoughts will be turning to going to back to school. There is a lot to do and think about when getting the kids ready for a new school year. In August, Kids.gov will be sending a series of back to school emails featuring a variety of topics. We hope you find them helpful. We want to make this a successful school year for all of the kids! To start us off, check out USA.gov's Back to School page. It is a great place to go for information and tips on preparing for the new school year.

It's that time of year again!
School supplies are filling the shelves of your local retailers. Classroom supply lists are starting to fill your inbox. We are not ready to think about alarm clocks and spelling tests, but we know it's right around the corner. While you're shopping, pick up a few extra items for the Teacher Supply Warehouse! You can drop them in any Tools for School box or take them directly to the Warehouse to see this fabulous resource in person! You will make a huge difference for our students. Let's FILL THOSE SHELVES!
