PTA LEADER UPDATE
A weekly bulletin from your Council PTA to keep you informed.

Greetings
August is already here and I know leaders are very busy planning. A lot of information comes in at the beginning of school.  Try to keep organized, share information with your board, and delegate whenever possible.  Our mission to serve all children takes teamwork!

Take care,
Katie Sayani
GCC of PTAs
President
New Reminders
  • Have you received Membership cards from NCPTA?  Have you received your USB with the Back to School kit from National?  If not, please go to your school and check for those items.
  • At your orientation, provide each board member the tools they need to help your school's children be successful: uniform bylaws, proposed budget, code of ethics and conflict of interest forms, plan of work form, calendar for the year, treasurer's guidelines.
  • More templates will be available on our new website soon!  If you are looking for something specific and can't find it at NCPTA or National PTA, please feel free to email me.
Here We Grow!
One committee that should be gearing up is Membership!  NCPTA has adopted Here We Grow as their 2013-14 membership campaign theme.  Local units will be eligible to win prizes from NCPTA each month - look for more to come on this!

Meanwhile, check out the new membership blog from National PTA and get ideas from other PTAs across the country.  The video from Grindstone Elementary PTA in Ohio is awesome! Imagine starting your year off with a video at your first general membership meeting.

Additionally, you can find membership card resources, including printing templates and FAQs here.
