Welcome to the 2013-14 school year! This will be the weekly format I use to keep PTA leaders in the Guilford County Schools on track and informed. Sunday will generally be when you receive these updates. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

I wish everyone an awesome PTA year! Enjoy your summer with family and take one step at a time. For new presidents, this job can feel overwhelming at times. Just remember to reach out to others for support and keep the PTA mission in mind - this really is all about the children!

Reminders

Update incoming officers and chairpersons, so that GCC of PTAs can keep everyone informed!
Complete entry of all new officers into the NCPTA Database. The database is an essential tool for PTAs!
Review the Good Standing Requirements
2013-14 membership cards will be arriving at your school this month from NCPTA!
Receive your National PTA Official Back to School Kit

September 14th - Parent Leaders - Don't Miss!! Our Parent Engagement Conference and Full Council Meeting will be held at A&T University from 8:00am-3:00pm. There will be speakers and break out training sessions, plus lunch for everyone who registers. This event is also sponsored by NCPTA, A&T University, and Guilford Parent Academy.
