Greetings!
Good afternoon! I hope that you all are having a productive start to 2014. Now that we've all settle back in to work, I wanted to take some time to reflect on the accomplishments of NOAA's aquaculture program in 2013 and what we're looking forward to this year. We have made much progress to advance policy and science and improve public understanding of the value of domestic marine aquaculture. As always, the progress we make is profoundly impacted by the support of you -- our partners. I thank each of you and look forward to working with you in 2014 and beyond. Read all about what we've been up to in this month's Director's Corner!

The Federal Funding Opportunity for the "NOAA Sea Grant Aquaculture Research Program 2014" has been published. NOAA Sea Grant expects to have up to $3,000,000 available for a national competition to fund new FY'14 marine aquaculture research projects. This is part of the overall plan to support the development of environmentally and economically sustainable ocean, coastal, or Great Lakes aquaculture.
