NOAA Seeks Public Comment on 5-Year Research and Development Plan

NOAA has released its draft Five-Year Research and Development (R&D) Plan for public comment, to be accepted through June 3, 2013.  R&D at NOAA increases the agency's understanding of many global environmental systems and results in advanced science and technologies that improve how the agency fulfills its mission.  NOAA is seeking comments on the plan because public input is important to setting the course for R&D at NOAA in the coming years.  For more information on the draft plan and to learn how to submit comments, go to our website.

USDA Issues Final Call to participate in the Censuses of Agriculture & Aquaculture


Please note that the deadline to complete the 2012 Census of Agriculture is May 31, 2013. It is imperative that aquaculture producers who receive the 2012 Census of Agriculture respond in order to qualify for the follow-on 2013 Census of Aquaculture that provides more extensive information and data on the U.S. aquaculture industry.  Make sure your operation is counted! Read more...
