Princeton University Orchestra & 
University Concert Jazz Ensemble
Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall, 7:30PM

The Princeton University Orchestra, led by Michael Pratt, and the Princeton University Concert Jazz Ensemble, led by Dr. Anthony D.J. Branker will come together for two concerts featuring the world premiere of Teatro di Strada, a new work written by Princeton graduate, composer David Sanford and featuring acclaimed saxophonist Ralph Bowen.  The complete program follows:

 
Dr. Anthony D.J. Branker  Ballad for Trayvon Martin for Orchestra and       Jazz Quartet* (Ralph Bowen, tenor saxophone)
David Sanford  Teatro di Strada* (Ralph Bowen, tenor saxophone) 
Beethoven  Overture to Egmont, Op. 84 (JJ Warshaw, guest conductor)
Dvorak  Symphony No. 9 in E Minor, Op. 95 "From the New World"

The Princeton Chapel Choir will perform selections from Bach's Christmas Oratorio, BWV 248 with orchestra as part of a "Bach Day" at Princeton.

The Princeton University Glee Club & Chamber Choir , led by Gabriel Crouch, will continue "Bach Day" with a performance Bach's Magnificat, BWV 243 at Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall.

Dr. Anthony D.J. Branker & Word Play, featuring David Binney, alto-saxophone; Ralph Bowen, tenor and soprano saxophone; Conrad Herwig, trombone; Jim Ridl, piano; Kenny Davis, bass; Donald Edwards, drums; Renato Thoms, conguero; and Alison Crockett, vocals, present a pre-recording session concert performance of a new suite by composer Anthony Banker for his upcoming CD Forward to be released on Origin Records
