GreenTown Michiana 2.0 is designed to bring communities across the area together to enact measurable change for a more sustainable Michiana region. Join us Tuesday, April 22 (Earth Day) as we work to build a stronger, more sustainable region.

Registration is $35 for the full day including breakfast and lunch.

Sessions will include:

Creating a Sustainable Region: How Communities Can Work Together

From Northwest Indiana to Michiana to West Michigan, this regional panel is designed to bring communities together to enact measurable, sustainable change both regionally and locally. The panel will consist of city officials, mayors and sustainability managers that have experience gaining support and driving action.

Energy Efficiency to Renewable Energy: Public and Private Sector Successes and Opportunities

From renewables to energy efficiency, government, businesses and homeowners are changing the energy landscape to save money and help the environment. Hear from Dwayne Borkholder of New Energy Homes, TJ Kanczuzewski of Inovateus Solar, Jonathan Burke with the City of South Bend and Haris Alibasic with the City of Grand Rapids to learn what companies and communities can do--and how to do it.

Creating a Diverse Business Community

How do we create communities that welcome and invite diversity? How do we bridge gaps and focus on the triple bottom line - economic development, environmental effectiveness and social justice - to create truly healthy, sustainable communities? To have sustainable communities, we must be intentionally inclusive. James Summers of Summers Group will lead this workshop to help participants identify opportunities to grow communities by including underserved populations.

If you participated in GreenTown Michiana last October, this is a great way to get back and learn and network. If you didn't, this is a fantastic time to get involved.

Tickets are only $35 for the day, including breakfast and lunch. Seniors and students can sign up for $20.

After GreenTown Michiana 2.0, if you want an alternative to the InREA Annual meeting,  join us for the Center for a Sustainable Future's free Earth Day event at 1700 W. Mishawaka Avenue from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
