April Food Packing is Early
Our April food packing for Feed My Starving Children is a week earlier in April. Since our usual day of the 3rd Saturday is Holy Saturday, Feed My Starving Children does a special event that day. So for April, we will be packing Saturday, April 8. We have our usual 10 volunteer spots for the 9:00-11:00 shift. You can sign up by going to the Feed My Starving Children website, http://volunteer.fmsc.org/register/ select "Join a Group" and then either enter SKD for the Group Name or the Join Code 936384 . You can also contact Deacon Randy to sign up, [email protected], 763-400-7203 (work) or 763-205-1528 (home).

April Food Drive
Our April Food Drive will be the 4th weekend of April, rather than the 3rd weekend since the 3rd weekend is Easter. Bring your non-perishable food items and persona care and household items to the April 22/23 masses. If you wish to make a monetary donation, checks should be made payable to the Franciscan Brothers of Peace.

The 7th annual Knights of Columbus Easter Egg Hunt.

The Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 8th (April 15th in case of inclement weather) at 1 PM at Ramsey Central Park and is open to all

children up to age 10.

Hello, SKD,
We are starting to plan for our annual trip to St. Mary's Mission in Red Lake, MN.  The dates are June 19-23, 2017.  You can stay the entire week or the days that work out for you. The children are happy to have us for as long as we can stay.  We will be working with kids in the school grades K-6 as well as the elderly in the nursing home. We will learn about the Ojibwe tribe and celebrate mass with Fr. Jerry.  Please seriously think about coming on this trip to connect with our sister parish.  It is a life changing experience. Thank you.
Please contact either Deacon Randy 763 400 7203 Randy @sjtw.net or Vivian Jeffrey 612 741 4422 [email protected] for further information.

Using Scrip is Easy . . . and it Helps SKD
All of us do some shopping. Why not do it with Scrip cards? Many of the places we shop have scrip cards available. There are even hotels, airlines, cruises and car rental cards available for your travels. You can order your cards at the Scrip Table after our 4:30 mass and between our 9:00 and 11:00 masses. Cards are ordered each week and are available for pick up the following weekend. Shopping with scrip does not cost you anything extra. You simply pay the face value for the scrip card. SKD purchases he cards at a discount and that is how the parish can generate a little extra revenue to support our ministries. We do stock cards for some local merchants - Coborn's, County Market, Cub, Bill's and Green Valley Nursery. You can also set up an online account and get electronic scrip cards instantly or reload scrip cards you purchased earlier. If you have any questions or want to know more about how you can use scrip and benefit the parish, stop by the Scrip Table in the hospitality room.
