Cana Dinner Saturday, February 11, 2017 6:30pm

Celebrate Valentine's Day with other married couples.

Valentine's Day is coming soon.  Whether you are celebrating 1 week or 75 years of happy wedded bliss, we invite you to St. Katharine Drexel's Cana Dinner. Share social time, dinner and a short program  with other married couples to help all celebrate the sacrament of marriage.  Please feel free to invite other married couples to share in this special evening with us. Cost is $35/couple for an evening of fun, payable at the door. Please RSVP by Tuesday, February 7.

Please inform us of any special dietary needs that you may have so we can make accommodations.  $35/couple includes a catered meal.  Bringing another couple is encouraged.  An SKD tradition is to bring your wedding album to share.

Having heard Christ speaking to us in the living Word of God and having received his very Body and Blood in Holy Communion, the community goes forth as Disciples of Christ. Although the Mass has ended, our mission as Christians begins once again. Healed, forgiven, fed and sent, we are ready to follow Christ. However, where does he want to take us? Begin finding answers at our next GOF session The Concluding Rites of the Mass,
Sun Feb 12 and Wed. Feb. 15.
The meal for Feb. is potluck soup and chili.
Register for
The Concluding Rites; Sunday Feb 12 and Wednesday Feb 15.
Stay late or come early for fellowship.

All EDGE Sessions occur on the first
Wednesday of the month and start at 5:30 pm with pizza (suggested donation is $3) followed by prayer, discussion, activities and scripture reading until 7pm. Our next session is February 1, 2017. You may register now.

We will have Family Bingo Night on Saturday, Jan. 28th.

A Sub-Sandwich supper will be served at 6:00 pm.  (Might have some of Randy's homemade chili leftover from the Feed My Starving Chili Feed, if we are lucky!)  Games will begin at 6:30 pm.

An email has been sent out with RSVP and Volunteer information.  If you have questions, please contact Lisa Rolfes at lmrolfes@gmail.com.

Hope you can join us and bring some friends and neighbors!

Feed My Starving Children M&M Tubes
Feed My Starving Children does not get their food ingredients donated, they need to pay for all of. One of the ways they help raise funds for the ingredients is with their M&M tubes. The tubes sell for $1.00. After you enjoy the M&M's you fill the tube with quarters. We have a basket in the back of the Worship Space with M&M tubes. Take as many tubes as you would like, drop a dollar for each tube in the basket. When you fill the tube with quarters, you can drop it of at the parish office, put it in the collection basket or give it to a staff member. We will take the filled M&M tubes to our anniversary volunteer shift January 28.

Hello, SKD,
We are starting to plan for our annual trip to St. Mary's Mission in Red Lake, MN.  The dates are June 19-23, 2017.  You can stay the entire week or the days that work out for you. The children are happy to have us for as long as we can stay.  We will be working with kids in the school grades K-6 as well as the elderly in the nursing home. We will learn about the Ojibwe tribe and celebrate mass with Fr. Jerry.  Please seriously think about coming on this trip to connect with our sister parish.  It is a life changing experience. Thank you.
Please contact either Deacon Randy 763 400 7203 Randy @sjtw.net or Vivian Jeffrey 612 741 4422 vwjeffrey@msn.com for further information.

Using Scrip is Easy . . . and it Helps SKD
All of us do some shopping. Why not do it with Scrip cards? Many of the places we shop have scrip cards available. There are even hotels, airlines, cruises and car rental cards available for your travels. You can order your cards at the Scrip Table after our 4:30 mass and between our 9:00 and 11:00 masses. Cards are ordered each week and are available for pick up the following weekend. Shopping with scrip does not cost you anything extra. You simply pay the face value for the scrip card. SKD purchases he cards at a discount and that is how the parish can generate a little extra revenue to support our ministries. We do stock cards for some local merchants - Coborn's, County Market, Cub, Bill's and Green Valley Nursery. You can also set up an online account and get electronic scrip cards instantly or reload scrip cards you purchased earlier. If you have any questions or want to know more about how you can use scrip and benefit the parish, stop by the Scrip Table in the hospitality room.
