About TAXI:

Our name is a simple way to describe our philosophy. We believe a small team of bright people, about as many as can fit into a cab, should drive every piece of business. So everyone, including the client, is headed in the same direction.

Our mantra is Doubt the Conventional - it guides everything we do. It means we're never looking for the usual route; we're looking for the smartest.

We tell compelling stories designed to help build powerful brands - stories that are driven by a powerful message delivered in the right context and then mapped to the right medium. And we have a portfolio of work to prove it.

T0:                        MSU Community

FROM:                  Provost June Pierce Youatt

SUBJECT:             A Healthier Campus - Tobacco Free

As part of our ongoing effort to ensure that the MSU community enjoys a healthy campus, I am proud to announce that a task force has been formed to guide the process of transitioning Michigan State University to a tobacco-free environment.  Led by the Office of the University Physician, the task force will guide campus and community leadership in the development, adoption, and implementation of a tobacco-free policy at MSU.

The rationale for this transition rests largely on a fundamental concern for the health of the entire campus community.  Decades of research confirm the negative effects of smoking, smokeless tobacco, and environmental tobacco smoke.  Moving toward implementation of a tobacco-free policy aligns with our efforts to create the healthiest academic and workplace environment possible at MSU.

The task force is beginning its work now, and there is much work to be done.  There will be ample opportunity for members of the MSU community to express any concerns or thoughts they may have.  Input from across the campus is critical if we are to develop a policy and implementation plan that meets our goals, while being responsive to the concerns of our community.

The Office of the University Physician will soon have information on its website concerning the task force and its progress.  In the meantime, I urge members of the MSU community to email [email protected] with concerns or questions.
