Buckeye Kosher Korner

Last year, the Buckeye Kosher BBQ Festival was an incredible success with attendance outpacing our expectations More than 1,000 festival-goers attended.

The Festival this year will be on Sunday, August 28 at Wolfe Park between 3pm - 7 pm.

Our pit master this year is Max McGarity. Max is an award winning pit master who has competed at events such as the Columbus Jazz and Rib Fest, Canal Winchester Ribs Festival and the Food Truck Festival. He has been featured in 614 magazine and cooking on Fox 28 morning show.

We will also host Bill Foley for the musical entertainment. Most recently Bill found notoriety as a terrorist fighter musician during the machete attack on the Nazareth Restaurant and Deli in northeast Columbus earlier this year. Bill was one of four who were injured in the attack. Foley's surgeries and rehab have been successful and he has been performing in front of record crowds around central Ohio.

The festival will also bring back more exciting kids attractions: climbing wall, challenging inflatables face painting and crafts as well as exhibiting artists and vendors. Activity bands are for the amusements are $5/each with a $25 family cap.

Festival-goers are asked to bring new or lightly used linens to be donated to the Community Shelter Board to help homeless in central Ohio.

We are coordinating volunteers and we are looking for sponsors to help us make this a strong event.

Contact us at [email protected] to get involved as a volunteer.  If you would like to help us through sponsorship, please call Daniel Newman at 614-256-6989 or email [email protected]
